A 58 year history of injection moulding and delivering
results
Rugby Plastics have been established since 1949 but the
company’s
origins go much further back to early 1900. Originally founded
by the Hupfield Brothers, the company discovered their niche
in plastics and labelled themselves as ‘makers of plastics
machinery and special purpose machines’. Based in London
they were the innovators of the Hupfield Simplex “4” Automatic
10 Gram Screw Injection Moulding Machine which established
the company and allowed their service to be offered to a
variety of industries.

This service and high quality machinery continued
throughout the last century and followed the company
through their transition from Hupfield Brothers Ltd
to Rugby Plastics Ltd and from London to Northamptonshire,
where they are currently based. The company has also
been kept in the Hupfield family and this ethic is
reflected in their attentive service and loyalty to
their customers. |
Throughout the years the business
has flourished and there are currently 26 state of the
art plastic injection
moulding
machines ranging from 22 to 250 tonnes, providing a
range of production processes. Rugby’s unrivalled
quality of products stems from their combination of
the latest technology
with BS EN ISO 9000:2000. With the addition of an in-house
tool room they are able to offer low cost, fast, efficient
tooling from design and development through to production.
Rugby Plastics are a traditional, successful and hard
working company with committed staff who are experts
in their field. They produce a consummate range of products
that continue to compliment a variety of industries
throughout the UK.
